REGUA has the ambitious objective of protecting a large area of Atlantic Forest, as well as restoring as much of the lost habitat as possible. However, our work is always constrained by the resources, both financial and practical, that are available to us.
There are many ways that you can support REGUA:
- By donating money towards our operational costs or specific activities such as sponsoring a ranger, supporting the Environmental Educational programme or restoring habitats. See our donations page for details.
- By donating money for land purchase.
- By donating money for tree planting and other habitat restoration. You may want to donate money towards tree planting to offset your flight to South America. As a guide, it is generally regarded that when visiting South America from Europe the purchase of 20 trees would be sufficient to offset the burning of fossil fuels.
- By volunteering to work at REGUA. Volunteers bring with them a wide range of skills and experience and greatly enhance the work we are doing.
- By helping to raise the profile of REGUA, especially amongst other potential supporters.
- By visiting REGUA, either by staying in our Guapi Assu Bird Lodge or just by visiting for the day. All profits from the lodge and reserve entrance fees are used to support the our important work. REGUA is working to increase available funds through tourism and the lodge is gaining recognition as one of the best birdwatching sites in the Atlantic Forest.
