Fungi & Lichen Biodiversity
Fungi fulfil an essential role in the recycling of nutrients in the rainforest. There are many bright fungal surprises on the forest floor and on decaying wood and leaves. Fungi, and lower plants, such as mosses and liverworts (bryophytes) are a relatively un-worked group on the reserve, and deserve some more attention.
